This is a software that turns a HP laptop into a Wi-Fi access point.
HP Access Point turns your HP laptop into a Wi-Fi wireless access point. This way other neighboring machines with wireless access cards built in, can work through the HP machine and access Internet. This is an ideal solution for setting up a temporary AP in a hotel room, meeting room, at home or the like. HP Access Point is designed for HP hardware only. Other laptops may not work as the access point however, with this software. This application is unlike Virtual Access Point software which is hardware-independent. Other devices that can participate in this kind of improvised network include your iPhone, PDA, mobile or whatever. You can enjoy the Internet by connecting to the wireless network broadcast by the anchor HP machine. The network created is a secure one. The participating devices must have the network key.
This has a simple and easy to use interface. It is intuitive enough that most users should get familiar with it quite easily. Getting productive with it should not take much time. The application operates with a single click. One button to start and one button to stop, that`s all. On the "Share My Internet" tab you can share your Internet cable by creating a Wi-Fi network. All you need to set up a local Wi-Fi network is an Ethernet enabled Internet connection in the location, your HP laptop with HP Access Point software installed and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices. This is a very good product. If you are looking for a similar solution, you should try it in your exact workflow.
